To gain an extra perspective on the rise of interest in brutalism, conducting an informal interview with a popular blogger on the image sharing platform Instagram (@Brutal_Arichitecture) will provide valuable insights, specifically from the perspective of a person that is not an architect, but takes a keen interest in the subject.

Having already established a relationship with this specific blogger through the use of the direct message function on Instagram, it seemed appropriate to build on this past conversation, which happened to be regarding the Merrion centre in Leeds city centre.

In addition to Steve, another Instagram page dedicated to solely Modernist architecture (@TheImportanceOfBeingModernist) was contacted, however no reply was received after two separate attempts.
